In order to permit more time with family and friends, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois will be closed as follows:
• closed on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24, 2025;
• closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025, and Friday, December 26, 2025 in observance of the Christmas holiday; and
• closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026, and Friday, January 2, 2026, in observance of the New Year holiday.
Any matter previously set for December 24 and December 26, 2025, will be continued to December 29, 2025 or to another date set by the judge presiding in the matter.
Any matter previously set for January 2, 2026, will be continued to January 5, 2026 or to another date set by the judge presiding in the matter.
